“Volunteering with Lighthouse for Students has been such a meaningful part of my life. I love getting the chance to build relationships with students reminding them that they are seen, worthy, and loved. It’s been a privilege to walk alongside them, offering encouragement and support as they navigate life’s challenges.”
– Keri Simpson

“I have been volunteering with LFS since 2022. I always enjoy engaging with and encouraging the students in Sunnyside. The potential impact we have on their lives is what I love the most. I also cherish the friendships I have made with the other volunteers.”
– Kara Wedemeyer
“While listening to a morning talk radio show, the host, Michael Berry, was talking about the work that Kelly Martin and LH were doing in the Sunnyside community. He then invited her to call into the show, where they discussed what a difference Lighthouse was making in the lives of these often underprivileged kids at several schools. Teaching these kids that “where they come from does not have to define where they are going” was such a profound message, and I knew I wanted to get involved.”

“The joy we receive from giving back to young scholars through the awesome organization, Lighthouse for Students, is truly a blessing and honor. We look forward to serving more, giving more, and impacting more with Lighthouse for Students!”

“I love working with Light House because the people that I’ve worked with were genuine and really had a heart for change. Everyone I’ve worked with at Light House moved with integrity and had a desire to see change occur in the lives of everyone we come in contact with.”
