“While listening to a morning talk radio show, the host, Michael Berry, was talking about the work that Kelly Martin and LH were doing in the Sunnyside community. He then invited her to call into the show, where they discussed what a difference Lighthouse was making in the lives of these often underprivileged kids at several schools. Teaching these kids that “where they come from does not have to define where they are going” was such a profound message, and I knew I wanted to get involved.”
